I had just moved and was feeling pretty much alone at a difficult time in my life. God blessed me with an angel and gave me Paula for a neighbor. Looking back, I see that is exactly what happened. She gave me friendship - - she was wonderful at that as we all know, but she gave me so much more. She was all the things you said, Amy - - warm, caring, generous. And fun. The years we were neighbors were happy ones and I see how that changed my life. Through Mike I found a church that I loved and church became a central part of my life and still is. I ultimately moved away into a whole new life. I see the path that led me to it and Paula was part of it. I might not have come this way had I not met her. For that I am profoundly grateful. It's heartbreaking that illness made her time on earth shorter. All of us who loved her would have kept her with us. Mike, Amy and Amber, I am so very sorry you are parted from her. I do believe we will see her again. I send you my love and prayers. Laurie

Amy and Amber, I am so sorry for your loss of Paula. She was such a sweet, loving person and I know you will miss her dearly. She always told me fun stories about both of you. It was obvious that she loved you dearly. I am thankful that she no longer has any pain and God has wiped away every tear. Kim Dunn

For my mother Paula Kunka, she had a life that was taken away too soon. I do have to say, Dear God, Thank you so much for allowing me to have almost 47 years with my mother. It was thee best. I wouldn't trade the time I had with her for anything in the world. She was my rock and the most wonderful woman in the world. Always thinking of others ahead of her self. She would give you her last dollar out of her pocket or the shirt off her back if it meant making you happy. She was always accommodating to the needs of others. Always opened to new suggestions, accepting of others and was always the person everyone wanted to go to for advice. My Mom taught me to be an independent, responsible, loving, nurturing woman and understanding just as much as she once was. When my daughter Amber & my son-in-law Ethan got married, she did everything she could have done imaginable to help with the wedding. She always saw the good in people. Now she has no more pain and is in heaven. She loved everyone. Not one day will ever go by where I will not think about you or ever forget you. I love you momma and always will. You will forever be in my heart and forever missed.
