Alan E. Parker

Alan Eugene Parker, 91, of Fairfield, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 1, 2022. Alan was born on April 16, 1930 in Elkhart, Indiana to Roscoe and Helen Rose Parker. He attended Columbus North High School (Ohio) and then with his parents’ permission, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. There, he completed his education and went on to serve as S. Sgt. in the Air Force for four years. Later, he worked at McSwain Carpet for 30 years. He was a beloved husband for 59 years and father of two daughters and two sons. He was an active member of the Springdale Nazarene Church, where he served as usher, board member, greeter, Men’s Bible study member, and was involved in various ministries for over 56 years. He loved people, enjoyed playing games and serving his country. He is survived by daughter Karen Belknap, daughter Kathy (Ralph) Mitchell, son Mark (Janelle) Parker, son Jeff (Brenda) Parker; sister Janet (William) Woodruff, grandchildren Todd Belknap, Eric Belknap, Joel Little, Ross Little, Grant Parker, Brycen Parker, Ellie Parker, Anna Parker, Sam Parker; great-grandchildren Christian, Gracie, Blaine, and Maddox and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou, his parents, sisters Marjorie Shultz Stuart and Virginia Parker, and sons-in-law Lewin Little and David Belknap. The funeral will be held at the Springdale Nazarene Church, 11177 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246 at 5:00 PM on Sunday February 6, 2022 with Reverend Daryl Blank and Pastor Marshall Duke officiating. A visitation time will be held from 3:30 PM Sunday until the service begins. Memorial gifts may be directed to Springdale Nazarene Church. Special thanks to Hospice at Vitas Healthcare.
