Anthony Vilas age 90 of Fairfield, OH passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday July 4, 2023. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 28, 1933 the son of the late Enrique and Josephine (nee Soprano) Vilas. Anthony was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a general contractor and home builder for most his life. He is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years Carol Vilas; four daughters Karen Vilas, Susan (Thomas) Sherpensky, Michelle (Raul) Prestol, and Mary (the late Tommy) Vilas; seven grandchildren Michael Sherpensky, Nicole (Jon) Drake, Francesca (Luke) Barry, Vini Forcella, Elijah (fiancé Lucy Pena) Prestol, Thomas Lightner, and Brent Lightner; five great grandchildren Michael Sherpensky Jr, Roman Barry, Olivia Barry, Penelope Barry, and Ellah Prestol; one brother Matthew (the late Donna) Vilas. He also leaves behind many other family and close friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 11, 2023 at 3:00Pm at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield.
