Arlene Reed

Arlene Reed, age 86 of Fairfield passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, January 10, 2020. She was born in Cowdenbeath, Fife, Scotland on September 4, 1933 the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Coll) Reekie. As an adult she left Scotland for Canada and in 1959 met the late Norman Reed. They married in 1962 and moved to the United States and remained happily married for 28 years until his death in 1990. Arlene is survived by her daughter Valerie (Steve) Spencer, granddaughters Catherine (Jim) Daniels, Brooke Spencer, great granddaughters Riley, Harper and Eleanor. She was preceded in death by her sister Lorna Borthwick and great granddaughter Lillian. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to care providers Ashley, Ellie and Sonia from VITAS.
