Barbara E. Ploetz

Barbara Ellen Ford Ploetz age 56 of Oxford passed away Thursday November 22, 2018. She was born March 11, 1962 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania the daughter of Charles and Sarah (nee McCague) Ford. She was the second of five girls. She had a great love for God and her family. Barb had a tender heart that went beyond family and friends-always wanting to help anyone she saw in need. Growing up she enjoyed being a part of Brown ‘s Bravados and played saxophone in the Wadsworth High School band. After college Barb worked in the bookkeeping and social work fields, and then primarily staying home to raise two kids. Every year Barb and her husband baked countless loaves of zucchini bread to give away and she would make her famous lasagna and southern cream cookies for family gatherings. She loved to shop for others and loved to spoil her grand babies, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She was loyal and lovingly stubborn. She will be so missed. Barb is survived by her parents Charles and Sarah Ford; husband Francis Ploetz; two sons Josh (Emily) Ploetz and Joseph (April) Ploetz; two grandchildren Mason and Norah; and four sisters Kathleen (Burton) Suedel, Patricia (Parker) Gear, and twins Karen Ford and Kelly (Larry) Yaw. Visitation 4-6 PM Tuesday at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield. Additional visitation 10-11 AM Wednesday November 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
