Betty Lou Lewellyn (nee Hatfield) age 87 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on December 12, 2022. Betty was born in Liggett, Kentucky on December 16, 1934 to the late McKinley and Lilly (nee Stein) Hatfield. On February 13, 1951 she married Jim Bill Lewellyn in St. Charles, Virginia where they began a wonderful long life together. Betty was a very caring wife, mother and grandmother that loved spending time with her family, she especially enjoyed the weekly Friday lunch outings with her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved to travel, spent many years camping with family and friends, traveled by tour bus to numerous destinations and followed the Kentucky Wildcat Basketball team with the Cat Trackers group. Betty was always a hard worker and she retired from Pillsbury. She was an amazing cook and was most known by all for her famous peanut butter fudge. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life for over 71 years, Jim Bill Lewellyn; two children James Lewellyn and Lucinda (Robert) Schappacher; six grandchildren Danielle Lewellyn, Heather Lewellyn, Brittani (Nick) Shope, Travis (Sarah) Stapleton, Ashley Schappacher, and Emili Schappacher, and one great grandchild Maveric Shope. Betty was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Lynn Lewellyn, three siblings, and her parents. The family will have a private gathering on Friday December 16, 2022 and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
