Beverly Jean Whitus

Beverly Jean Whitus age 79 of Fairfield passed away on Saturday June 16, 2018. She was born on May 17, 1939 in Hamilton; she was the daughter of the late Franklin Roop and the late Grace (nee Caudill) Motzer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend throughout her life and touched the hearts of many. Beverly was a long-time member of Millville Avenue Church of God. Beverly was Director of Patient Admissions at Fort Hamilton Hospital and retired in 2000 after 30 years of service. Beverly was a generous supporter of many charities and active participant in church. She volunteered at the meal center at church and was a staunch advocate for the needy in her community. Her husband Donald Whitus preceded her in death in 2014. She is survived by six children Donald (Shirley) Whitus Jr, Mark (Sandra) Mayes, Sue (Bob) Wuebbling, Tim (Doness) Mayes, Lauria (Mark Burgess) Wittkamp, and Greg (Donna) Mayes; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two brothers Rev Frank (the late Virginia) Roop and Rev Vernon (Mary) Roop. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Gail Campbell, Patricia Rowland, and Audrey Rose. Visitation will be on Thursday June 21, 2018 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral at 12:00 PM with Pastor Tim Cole officiating.
