Calvin “Eddie” Hassler age 69 of Fairfield passed away on Tuesday December 7, 2021. He was born on January 2, 1952 in Texarkana, AR the son of Paul and Martha “Dee” Hassler. Eddie had a heart of gold, always had a joke to tell. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He married Kathi Lynn on March 11, 1972. Eddie worked as a welder for Fisher Body for many years. He also played Santa Claus during the holidays for almost 45 years. He is survived by his loving wife of over 49 years Kathi Hassler; three sons Greg (Cindy) Hassler, Aaron (Jamie) Hassler, and Sean (Becky) Hassler; eight grandchildren Paige (Matt) Taylor, Kyla (fiancé James Downs) Hassler, Mason (Megan Catanzaro) Hassler, Reagan (Brent) McCarthy, Aydin Hassler, Myles Hassler, Piper Hassler, and Charlotte Hassler; seven great grandchildren Kenzie, Jessie, Alice, Greyson, Baylie, Ronin, and Felix; one sister Rhonda (Dave) Randall and one Godson Chris Herold. He also leaves behind many of his best friends’ children who he dearly loved as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. A memorial service will be held on January 2, 2022 from 3:30PM until the time of the memorial service at 5:00PM at First Baptist Church 1072 Hicks Blvd Fairfield, OH 45014 with Pastor Tim White officiating.
