Dale A. Ott

Dale A. Ott age 81 of Fairfield passed away surrounded by family on Monday March 8, 2021. He was born on April 18, 1939 in North College Hill, OH the son of the late Joseph and Isabelle (nee Distler) Ott. He grew up in Mt. Healthy and attended Hamilton Catholic High School. On September 3, 1960 he married Mary Louise Sass. They raised eight children together. After 42 years Dale retired from Orflex formerly Cloudsley Company in 2001. He was a devoted Catholic and heavily involved in the Cursillo Movement where he served on the regional and national Secretariats. Dale had a love of music and was especially fond of Alison Krauss. He had many hobbies over the years including cheering for the Bengals (when they were good), bowling, golfing, attending NASCAR events and shooting pool. Dale is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years Mary Ott; eight children Antionette Olding, Rebecca (David) Capella, Joanne (Greg) Robbe, Dale (Robin) Ott II, John Ott, Michael (Lisa) Ott, Joseph (Anna) Ott, and Maria (Bret) Applegate; twenty-one grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and one brother Floyd (Joyce) Ott. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. He was also preceded in death by two sisters Virginia “Ginny” and Sylvia “Sis”; and one great nephew Timothy Trader. Visitation will be on Saturday March 13, 2021 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 9:30AM- 10:30AM. A Mass will be held at 11:00AM at St. Matthias Church 1050 W.
