Condolences

I can't believe the news. I am absolutely heartbroken. You were a wonderful boss and always made me smile, even on the toughest days. You always had my back, whether it was an angry customer or a new idea I had for a workshop or program, and we made a great team. I really loved working for you. I'm so sorry I haven't stopped in for a while and I'm sad we'll never be able to catch up or rant about the Reds again. Rest easy, Best Boss Ever. <3

May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. The rains fall soft upon your fields and, until we meet again May God hold you "Fish" in the palm of His hand. Dave, we shared a special bond and I have and will always treasure our friendship. You've been there for me at my lowest lows...always cheering me on to pick up the pieces, put my big girl panties on move forward. You didn't sugar coat anything and sometimes my feelings got hurt, but that my friend is the true definition of a great friend! My most sincere condolences to his family. My heart aches for you all. You will be greatly missed. You have the greatest seat in the house now.. Rest in peace.

I was blessed to work under Dave at Bass Pro Shops where I had the experience to meet lots of lifelong friends including Dave. He taught us all how we could still have fun and get the work done. Instilling in us the drive to always be better.

Still numb and shocked you were taken too soon Uncle Dave. I will always remember the fun times at Ninny & Geepaw's house when Wendy and I would fight over your 10 speed, sneaking in your bedroom to check out all your cool stuff, and playing pickle in the back yard, among other fun stuff we have done over the years! Thank you for being such a supportive and funny Uncle. I will miss you so much and please say hi to Mom for me. Love you Uncle Dave, From your first born niece, Colleen

I miss you so much, Dave. You brought so much into my life. You made it even fuller and I will always treasure the time we have shared. I can't imagine life without you. I wonder how many hole in ones you have hit on the beautiful courses in heaven. I know so many lives will be forever changed and your presence is already so missed by us all. Thank you for everything you brought into my life, and sharing so much of yours with me. I love you.....Always

I was blessed to meet Dave in 2017 as he was my supervisor at BPS. Dave was probably one of the most kind people I have ever met. Anyone that knew him would tell you he was not a boss, but an incredible leader, co-worker, and friend. He always went out of his way to show appreciation for us no matter how busy or stressed he was. He never knew a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Dave's office was a place of refuge for many after a long day whether you needed a piece of candy or advice from a good friend. He was one of a kind. I'd like to thank his family for sharing such a wonderful person with us. It was truly an honor to know and get to spend time with such an amazing man.
