Donna L. Price

While she is faithful to meet the needs of her own family, she also does not forget to help the other needy people God brings across her path.“ Donna Lou Price (Jordan), of Hamilton, OH passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, October 1, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. Donna was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on July 22, 1945, to Gaston and Gladys (Smith) Jordan. She grew up in a house of 11 children, where love, family and hard work were instilled from an early age. From childhood Donna knew she wanted to have a large family, and to always be surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna met Harold Price, in grade school, and knew by the age 14 they would be together forever. With his charm, good looks and loving personality, it did not take long for Donna to become smitten. The two wed on February 22, 1964. Although just 18 when they said their “I dos”, Harold and Donna spent the next 59 years fulfilling their vows to each other daily. Being a wife and mother was something that came naturally to Donna. Soon after they married, she and Harold began creating a large family of their own. Donna was an extraordinary homemaker. Even with five small children to love and care for, Donna always made the time for others. Providing support and love to those in need. She and Harold worked tirelessly to provide a loving home to their children. Although money was often tight, the love they provided was limitless. Their love and generosity only grew as the family got bigger. Donna was extremely proud of her family. She enjoyed sharing in all of her family’s achievements and proudly displayed photos of their accomplishments throughout the family home. As adults, all Donna’s kids and grandkids wanted to be around her- and their friends wanted to be near her, too. Coming to her home meant you were guaranteed to leave having eaten a home cooked meal, and if you were lucky, you left with a jar of her homemade strawberry preserves. Donna is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Clifford Jordan, Phyllis Jean McBee, Ewell and Wiley Jordan. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harold; along with her 5 children: Melissa Oldfield (Jim), Harold “Jeff” Price, Tambra Price (Jolene), Tina Little (Smokey) and Chet Price (Becky); 11 grandchildren: Harold Jeffery Price “Jr” (Hanna), Jordan Price, Chelsea Thompson (Ronnie), Jacob Oldfield (Brittany), Danielle Lang (Eric), Jared Little (Hannah), William Woods (Kalsie), Jacey Roberts (Clay), Jansen Little (Karly) and Morgan and Maverick Price; 14 great-grandchildren: Makenna, Kolby and Levi Price, Daisy, Harland and Mabel Thompson, Henry and Jack Price, Hueston Woods, Bryar and baby brother (due February 22nd 2024) Little, Leo Roberts, Ashton and Eila Lang and Owen Oldfield; siblings: Vina Price (Terry), Janice Rouse (Jack), Denny Jordan (Carla), Randall Jordan, Jeanette Townsley and Ricky Jordan; and countless other family and friends. A visitation will be held at Webster Funeral Home (3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield, OH) on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral service on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 12:00 PM.
