Donnie E. Hobson

Donnie E. Hobson age 80 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away Tuesday September 10, 2024 in his home. He was born May 31, 1944 in Melvin, Kentucky the son of the late Charlie Hobson and Bessie Howell Hobson. Mr. Hobson was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was an armored tank driver. He worked as an equipment operator at General Motors Fisher Body plant. He was active in sports, was a big UK fan, and was a CB Ham Radio Operator. He is survived by his wife Barbara Hobson; one son Eddie (Tina) Hobson; one daughter Diane (Jay) DeLorenzo; and two grandchildren Tommy Hobson and Aaron (Nina) Center; great granddaughter Brianna Center; siblings John (Mitzi) Hobson, Ken Hobson, Joe (the late Sharon) Hobson, and Larry (Paula) Elliott; and his best buddy Charles “Spunk” Campbell. Mr. Hobson is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends. He is also preceded in death by his siblings Burton Hobson, Viola Stewart, and Opal Ruff. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Tuesday September 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Dennis Burns, officiating.
