Edna M. Lakes

Edna M. Lakes age 77 of Fairfield passed away on Thursday December 19, 2024. She was born on October 26, 1947 in Hamilton. Edna was the devoted wife of fifty-four years to Larry Lakes, and cherished daughter of the late Russell and Ruby Vail. She was the adorned grandchild of Judge Archibald and Edna Bell. Edna graduated from Garfield High School and Business School in Hamilton, OH and developed significant expertise related to healthcare and insurance which served her well throughout her career. She adored yorkies and was a devoted dog mom to the late Jo Jo, Bo Bo, Jet, and Comet. Edna was a gardener and enjoyed simple life pleasures including a cup of coffee outside with the sun coming up. She was a Christian woman and loved her Lord and Savior. Edna was committed to her family and was especially close to her cousins Elizabeth Spurlock, Deana Bowling, and Theresa Singleton. She was deeply loved by her family and will always be remembered for her generosity and devotion to her family. Edna’s family is comforted by the belief that she is reunited with her parents, aunts, and uncles in Heaven. Special thanks to the staff at Westover for their loving care and support of Edna. Visitation will be on Tuesday December 24, 2024 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral at 11:00AM.
