Elaine Krouskop

Elaine L. Krouskop, age 87, a resident of West Chester, OH passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020. Elaine was born on February 22, 1933 in Lakeview, Ohio to the late Daniel L. and Gladys G. (Houchin) Hurley. She graduated in 1951 from Stokes Twp. High School in Lakeview. She married Jack Krouskop in 1953 and had a loving marriage for 38 years until Jack’s sudden passing in 1991. Elaine is survived by her three children: Dirk (Melinda) Krouskop of Goochland, VA; Lori (Pat) Reimer of West Chester, Ohio; and Brett (Libby) Krouskop of Liberty Township, Ohio. She is also survived by grandchildren Natalie and Adrienne Krouskop; Gretchen (Harold Morgan), Erin (fiancée Jordan Liddy), Michael, and Ben Reimer; great-granddaughter Harper Morgan; niece Joni Hurley; and nephews Mike and Phil Pulfer, and Dan Hurley; and many special friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her brothers Daniel and Eugene Hurley and her sister Shirley Pulfer-Titus. Elaine was an active member at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in West Chester, Ohio where she participated in the Adult Sunday School class, Friday morning Bible Study Group, and Lunch Bunch. She was a voracious reader and later in life enjoyed listening to audiobooks from The Library for the Blind. She loved going to the movies and live theater and watching her morning and late-night talk shows. Elaine especially enjoyed taking her family and friends out to their favorite restaurant for special occasions. A highlight of her week was the weekly phone calls with each of her grandchildren. At a future date, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church followed by burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery in New Hampshire, OH.
