Garnett W. Saylor

Garnett Wayne Saylor age 72 of Hamilton Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Cincinnati (Hamilton) on Tuesday January 29, 2019 with Parkinson’s disease. He was born December 6, 1946 in Hamilton the son of the late Walter and Nora Saylor. On February 12, 1971 he married Viva Marie Webb. Garnett graduated from Fairfield Senior High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1965 as a Security Police Officer and served in Vietnam. He retired from Ford Motor Company in November 2008 and soon began the slow painful journey that is Parkinson’s disease. Garnett is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Viva Marie (Webb) Saylor, his son Garnett Noel, his daughter Sarah Elizabeth, granddaughter Hannah Noelle, and grandson Elliott James. He is also survived by his brothers Jesse J (Pete), James M (Bo), and sister Judith I (Saylor) Ferguson and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Garnett was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Nora Saylor and his sister Joyce Saylor. Although bedfast for many years, Garnett loved his Lord and Savior and some of the last words the family heard from him were praise and worship, he has now gone to heaven to finally meet the Father and the Son. Rest high on that mountain. Visitation for Garnett Saylor will be from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday February 2, 2019 at Webster Funeral Home, 3080 Homeward Way, Fairfield, Ohio. The Funeral service will immediately follow starting 11:00 am with Reverend Rick Witt officiating.
