Jo-Ellen Brate age 74 of Fairfield passed away Tuesday December 12,2023.
She was born April 21,1949 in Binghamton, New York and the Daughter of Thomas F. Meagher and Angeline (DeSpirto) Meagher.
Jo-Ellen was devoted wife, mother and grandmother. For over 40 years she worked as an Office Manager at Car Corner/Tri-County Harley Davidson.
She is survived by her husband Steve Brate; Her two Children, Michael (Amanda) Bowen and Angela (Christopher Brian) Shockley; Her seven Grandchildren, Marissa, Jayden, Josephine, Christopher Carson, Ariella, Alona and Almira; Her five brothers, Mike (Rhonda) Meagher, Thomas Meagher Jr., Bobby (Rosann) Meagher, Johnny (Dorthy) Meagher and David (Dan) Meagher.
Jo-Ellen had a beautiful soul and was kind to a fault. She was Fierce when needed and Gentle as a breeze when deserved. Jo-Ellen was one of a kind and the brightest star in the darkness. Her loyalty was in comparison to anyone she loved, as she lived to make her husband, children and friends feel loved, happy and cherished. These words cannot even begin to describe how wonderful a woman Jo-Ellen was and she will be truly missed.
Visitation at The Webster Funeral Home 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Monday December 18, 2023 from 5:00 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 7:00 PM, with Deacon Jeff Merrell, officiating.
