John Edward Skidmore of Hamilton, Ohio , passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on December 7, under the loving care of Provision Living West Chester and Hospice of Cincinnati. John was devoted to his late wife of 62 years, Norma Jean Skidmore (Drummond). Loving father to Vicki Skidmore Livingston, Linda (Steve) Poulemanos, and Kimberly (Dan) Seifert. Grandchildren Chad Skidmore, Alex (Jill), Adam (Patricia) Poulemanos, Nathan (Katherine) Seifert, Caroline (Dan) Horton, and Rebekah Seifert. Five great grandchildren Bradley, Logan, Archer, Elinor, and Isaac Poulemanos. He was preceded in death by his parents Thelma Rife Skidmore Martin and Junior Skidmore, and sisters Eleanor Clark and Betty Carder. John was born in West Virginia and worked as a coal miner to support his young family. In 1952 they moved in a borrowed pickup truck to Ohio for employment at the newly opened Fernald Uranium Processing Plant in Ross, in hopes for a better life. In 1964 he began his beloved 30 year career with the Procter and Gamble Company, Winton Hill Foods Division. He worked hard, rose through the ranks to become a packaging engineer. His name is listed on the patent for the development of the Crisco Oil bottle. A private celebration of life with family will be held.
