Joseph Edward Porter

Joseph Edward “Ed” Porter age 86 of Cincinnati passed away Saturday January 11, 2020. He was born December 16, 1933 in Milan, Missouri the son of the late Joseph and Ruth (nee Booth) Porter. Mr. Porter was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked many years as a sales representative. He was a member of The Ohio State University marching band and dotted the “I” at the 1957 Rose Bowl game. He was the captain of The Ohio State University Gymnastics team. Mr. Porter was an avid golfer and gardener. He is survived by his wife Nancy Porter; two sons Jeff (Patti) Porter and Dan (Mary) Porter; three step children Daniel Edmondson, Josh (Charity) Edmondson, and Katie (Jon) Meister; and eight grandchildren, Joey Porter, Beth Porter, Daniel Porter, Margaret Porter, Mollie Edmondson, Abbie Edmondson, Jon Michael Meister, and Lilli Meister. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4. Fairfield on Saturday January 18, 2020 from 4:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 PM, with Pastor Ryan Ventura, officiating.
