Karen L. Baker aged 75 of Hamilton passed away Monday July 19, 2021 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (nee Williams) Justice. Karen was a 1963 graduate of Hamilton Taft High School. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was also a junior bowling coach at Fairfield Lanes with her mother- in- law Theresa Baker and sister- in- law Debbie Flannery. She was avid reader and loved to travel, her furthest adventure in life to visit Hong Kong to visit her nephew, Randal Lusk. Her other passion was dancing and sharing that with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Karen was a secretary at Miller Brothers, a key punch operator at The Citizens Bank along with her mother Dorothy Justice and she was a dispatcher office manager for Turnbull Concrete. In her years of retirement she worked at Medco and Wendy’s to help provide for her family. She was the driving force in making sure her family never went without and making sure her grandchildren achieved their dreams. She was a provider, a caretaker, a mother, and a grandmother every single day. Karen is survived by a daughter Lisa (Jeffrey) Detherage; three grandchildren Brittany (Jason) Galbreath, Travis (Stephanie) Crouch, and Austin Crouch; three great grandchildren Gracin Galbreath, Emma Galbreath, and James Crouch; sister of Harold (Linda) Justice and the late Glen D. Lusk; and many nieces and nephews who were very dear to her. She is also survived by her former husband Robert Baker, brother-in-law Paul Baker, a special sister-in-law Debbie (Wes) Flannery, and a very dear friend Carol Poindexter. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield, Ohio on Friday July 23, 2021 from 6:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Jacob Flannery, officiating. Burial will be private in Rose Hill Burial Park. The family would like to take this time to thank the Gem City Nurse Erica who took care of her until Hospice took over her care.
