Lawrence J. Risola age 89 of Fairfield Township passed away with family at his side on January 9, 2021. Larry was a member of Greencrest Senior Golf League where he was an avid golfer until October 2020. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie Risola for 62 years; loving father of Larry (Amy) Risola, Sharon (Don) Reising, Steven (Michele) Risola, and John Risola; grandfather of Brian (Theresa Bruce) Reising, Matthew (Krystine) Risola, Michael (Jessica Rawlings) Risola, Molly (Dan) Mulvey, Cory Risola, and Dylan Risola; great grandfather of Ethan Risola, Logan Risola, Connor Riehle, Grayson Rawlins, and Sophie Bruce. A mass of Christian burial will be on Friday January 15, 2021 at St. Maximillian Kolbe Church 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd Liberty Township OH 45011 at 11AM. Due to Covid 19 there will be no visitation and masks and social distancing will be in effect. The family encourages waves instead of hugs. Private burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In his retired years, he told stories we all heard before. Dad would laugh as he retold them, his lips would turn up, his face would crinkle up so much that you could no longer see his eyes, he would turn red with joy, we would all be cracked up by this time along with him. We were all tickled by his spirit We will always love our Dad.
