Lena M. Smith

Lena M. Smith age 83 of Hamilton passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side at 9:50 PM Saturday August 3, 2019. She was born May 24, 1936 in Milford, Ohio the daughter of the late Ossie and Charlotte F. (Ralston) Lamb. Mrs. Smith met Ernest Smith at age 5 and were best buddies. They were married on October 10, 1953 and celebrated 65 years of marriage. She was a member of the Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God. She is survived by her husband Ernest; her children Charlotte Smith, Virginia (Russell) Perry, Ronald (Kathy) Smith, Rebecca Smith, Sharon (the late John) Dykes, Donald (Saundra) Smith, and Lonnie Smith; 11 grandchildren Bryan (Erica) Hacker, Brent Farmer, Callista (Todd) Stockhoff, Ronald (Ellen) Smith, April Benson, Ashley (Chuckie) Reece, Heather (Tony) Stevenson, Michael Rowland, Benjamin Rowland, Chasity Sergent, and Daniel Smith; 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was also preceded in death by her siblings. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Hospice of Cincinnati for their compassionate care of Mrs. Smith. Visitation at Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God, 1321 Pater Avenue, Hamilton on Thursday August 8, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Denny Metheny, officiating. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to Hospice of Cincinnati.
