Then later in life she attended Covington Beauty College and obtained her cosmetology license and worked many years as a hairdresser and business owner. Linda loved her Savior with all her heart and proved that in her walk with the Lord and her dedication to the Church. She had given her heart to Jesus at the young age of 10 years old and went on to be a light to many people around her. She taught Sunday School for young people many years, teaching them the Bible stories and the books of the Bible. She was also a wonderful piano player for the choir and loved playing and singing at the church. She taught her daughter, and all her grandchildren to play the piano. One of her biggest joys, was leading and teaching the ladies group at the church. She had a true love for people and helping them grow in the work of the Lord. She was so proud to be a member of Livingword Missionary Baptist Church. Linda loved flowers and spent a lot of time outdoors nurturing and taking care of them. She had a green thumb and beautiful flowers. She loved sewing, painting and fishing. She made her sister Ada's wedding dress, sewed for her mom, daughter, and granddaughter. She was hardworking, resourceful, always a step ahead, and good at everything she attempted. Cooking for her family, friends and church is something she loved to do. Big breakfasts, chicken and dumplings, best pork chops ever, and the food list goes on and on. She was an awesome country cook and could prepare a delicious meal in no time at all. No one ever left her house hungry. One of the hardest days for her was on June 19, 1990. Her oldest son was killed in an auto crash. This was so devastating for her life, and she lived with the pain every day. She pushed forward and continued walking for the Lord.
