Maribeth Devaughn

Our beloved Maribeth DeVaughn, ‘mama bear’ to most, age 58 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday March 9, 2022. She was born March 8, 1964 in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of the late Roseann (Gerald) Bergman Smith and Jim (Joan) Jones. Maribeth worked as the attendance officer in the New Miami School District where she once went to school herself. Some of Maribeth’s favorite jobs that she made lifelong friends at where Exxon Mobile, Plains All American, Blue Water Gas Storage, and the full circle of life ending with her school. She was a bubbly, positive, ray of sunshine who was known for her pranks everywhere she went. Singing was a gift she loved to share. Everywhere she went she left a MB sprinkle.* She is survived by her husband Michael DeVaughn; one daughter Jamie (Brandi) Murphy; step children Jonathan Lamet, Andrew Lamet, Joseph ( Cassandra) DeVaughn, Jessika De Vaughn, and Lindsay Madden; grandchildren Kendall Lin, Hailee, William, Cynthia, Aspen, Alaska, Brady Bear, Conner Means, and Cooper Means; siblings Frances Jones, Barbara (Tom) Gresham, Teresa (Mike) Milleson, and Diana (Mark) Mapes; and sister in law Joyce (Roy) Dawson.
