Marquita Lakes

Marquita Lakes age 62 of Hamilton passed away at her home on Saturday September 26, 2020 at 4:31AM. She was born on September 27, 1957 in Hamilton the daughter of the late Nelson and Virgie (nee Turner) Hoskins. Marquita was a member of Paducah Avenue United Baptist Church for many years. She was married to Wayne Winkler Sr for 25 years and he preceded her in death. She married Robert Lakes on March 10, 2003. She is survived by her loving husband Robert Lakes; four children Wayne Winkler Jr, Krysteenah Lakes, Ashlie (James) Faulkner, and Tyler Lakes; five grandchildren Cassidy Winkler, Grace Winkler, Gavin Winkler, Aubree Faulkner, and Lincoln Faulkner; three sisters Drema (Thomas) Jones, Lottie (Chris) Creech, and Kimberly (Darryl) Lawson; two brothers in law Lynn Fields and Richard Terry. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and close friends. She was also preceded in death by her brother Nelson Hoskins and two sisters Charlotte Fields and Teena Terry. Marquita never wavered from her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Fort Hamilton Hospital and Hospice of Cincinnati for their tender and loving care of Marquita. Visitation will be on Wednesday September 30, 2020 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral at 12:00PM with Pastor Darrell Preston officiating.
