Martha L. Lee age 72 of Fairfield Township passed away Saturday August 24, 2019 at West Chester Hospital. She was born January 31, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of Helen Simmons Roysden and the late Frank Creech. Mrs. Lee worked in patient accounts at Fort Hamilton Hospital for nearly 30 years. She attended New Life Vineyard Church and loved her family with all her heart. Martha “Marty” Lee was a beautiful soul that graced this world and touched the lives of everyone she met. She was never hesitant to listen to others, but she was also completely honest with each person she encountered. Throughout my life, I have never known my mom to lie. She would simply speak her mind or remain silent rather than say anything untruthfully. She always loved unconditionally. Her life centered on her family. She cherished the blessing of her life that God gave her. She felt her life always had purpose and she expressed that belief through her willingness to help others in their times of need. Though she only had one son by birth, she had many more children through her love. She loved everyone so openly. Spending time with her family was always her joyful preference. She was quick to invite friends and family to a meal so that she could spend time and talk with them. Throughout her life, she struggled. She struggled as a young woman to have a child. She struggled as a single impoverished mom to raise that child. She worked long and hard throughout the course of her life until her health could no longer allow her to do so. She struggled with her medical issues for many years and it was the most difficult towards the end. However through every struggle, she kept her faith and her honest and kind demeanor. She called on the name of Lord for help every day. She was quick to forgive wrongs and slights from others even though there have been many. She loved her mother and her sisters and brother so very deeply. She would do anything for them! As the oldest, she always tried to act as a maternal influence to guide them and protect them from others and even themselves. Many lives walk this world for a brief time and leave little or no impact on those around them because they failed to reach out to the people around them. Marty Lee was not one of those people. She left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She shaped lives! She touched hearts! She made people laugh. She held others when they cried. She was not famous or a celebrity, but for those who had the honor and blessing to know her, she will never be forgotten. Her life mattered because she mattered! She loved deeply and truly! Everyone who knew her felt that love. They carry it with them now and they always will. We love you and miss you so very much! For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. 2 Corinthians 5:1-9 She is survived by her mother Helen Roysden; one son Matthew Lee; granddaughter Angela Lee; two step- sons Ralph Lee and Steve (Lori) Lee; step grandchildren Holly Brown and J. R. Lee; one brother Terry (Judy) Creech, and three sisters Paula (John) Hunt, Debbie (Rick) Cearley, and Cathy (Roy) Kaiser.
