Naomi Lee Cates

Naomi Lee Cates was born 9/26/1953 the daughter of Hugh & Olivia Dutton Cates passed away on 7/9/2023 with close friends by her side. In 1972 she graduated from Garfield High School & was the 1971 Home Coming Queen. She had a zest for life, was a free spirit who never met a stranger, and loved all living things. A compassionate caregiver to her mother, family members & close friends family members. In her early years she was quite an athlete & excelled in softball. An avid sports fan following The Ohio State Buckeyes, Alabama Crimson Tide, Reds & her beloved Cincinnati Bengals. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters Phyllis Cates & Diane Hazlett & several “dearly loved Critters” she leaves behind a niece and nephew and countless lifetime friends. Her last act of kindness was donating her body to The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Celebration of life will be held at the Fairfield VFW on Patterson Blvd Sunday 9/24/2023 from 4pm to 7pm.
