Nicholas Joseph Tippenhauer

Nicholas Joseph Tippenhauer, 87, passed away on Friday August 2, 2019 at the Tri-County Care Center in Fairfield, OH. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Ruth Elizabeth (Eggers) Tippenhauer, oldest son Nicholas Robert Tippenhauer and his wife Patricia Ferris, his second son Timothy Allen Tippenhauer and his fiancée Miranda Ghearing as well as 5 grandchildren. Born and raised in Newport, KY, Nick had incredible stories of being a runner for the infamous gambling in the 30’s and 40’s when he was a child. Nick attended Newport Catholic High School and graduated in 1949. Nick then joined the Navy in 1951 and was honorably discharged as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate R. Third Class in 1959. He then attended The University of Cincinnati to obtain his bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Xavier University. Most of his career as an accountant was for the YMCA in Cincinnati. After retiring in 1995 Nick enjoyed golf and his family. A memorial mass has been scheduled for Saturday September 14, 2019 at 11:30 AM at St. Bartholomew Church 9375 Winton Road in Cincinnati.
