Patricia A. Young

Patricia A. (Bryant) Young age 87 of West Chester, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023. She was born May 10, 1936 in Montgomery, West Virginia the daughter of the late Edloe and Ruth Bryant. She married John R. Young in 1958 and together they raised three boys in West Virginia and Ohio until he preceded her in death on November 26, 1984. Pat worked as a cook at the Hopewell Junior School in West Chester. She was a member of the Crestview Presbyterian Church and one of her greatest joys was being a Boy Scouts den mother to several West Chester boys including her own. She was also a member of the Butler County Democratic Women’s Club and was an Election Day poll worker. Pat gave her whole and best self to her family. She is survived by her three sons John R. Young, Jr. of West Chester, OH, Jay H. Young and his wife Martha from Winchendon, MA and Edward P. Young and his wife Marsha from Buford, GA; five grandchildren, Natalia Guffenberg and her husband Tom from Deltona, FL, Danielle Stevens and her husband Jim of Oakham, MA, Joey Young of Hoschton, GA, Erin Young and her partner Mark Brochey of Hoschton, GA and Emma Young of Buford, GA; two step great grandchildren, Dana and Emma Guffenberg. Pat is also survived by her honorary son, Brad Jackson. Brad’s unwavering support, commitment and love made the last several years so much easier for Pat and the family. Pat was predeceased by her siblings Charles, Edloe and Stewart Bryant.
