Reverend Clophas Shackelford

Rev. Clophas Shackelford age 82 of Lawrenceburg, IN passed away suddenly on December 30, 2020. He was born on March 27, 1938 to the late Pearl and Mary (nee Miracle) in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He married the love of his life Jeweldine “Judy” nee Reedy on June 15, 1957 and moved to Cincinnati. With an entrepreneurial spirit he opened “Shackelford Flooring” in 1964. His love of family and keeping busy kept that business running until 2019.Cherished by his children Tim (Leesha) Shackelford, Brian (Lissa) Shackelford, Julie (Ken) Chesnut, Michael (Becky) Shackelford, and Shelly (Scott) Schloss. Adored by his grandchildren Erica, Heather, Rebecca, Jake, Jessica, Jennifer, Anthony, Alexis, Ava, Braxton, Parker, and Emmie. Along with 13 precious great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his beloved eldest son Gary Lee and siblings Lucille, Tom, Hazel, Luther, Lorene and Verdie. He was a founding member of the New Haven Quartet and then The Shackelford Family singing group. Clophas was ordained as a Baptist deacon in 1978 and then as a preacher in 1986. He pastored several churches over the past 34 years ending at Cherry Valley United Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ohio where he will be truly missed. Visitation will be on Tuesday January 5, 2020 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral at 12:00PM with Rev.
