Robert (Bob) Charles Richert

Robert (Bob) Charles Richert age 91 of Bluffton, South Carolina passed away in his home on Sunday February 4, 2018. He was born July 18, 1926 in Gloversville, New York the son of the late Charles G. and Ethel (nee Voorhis) Richert. Bob was a remarkable family man who was extraordinary in his devotion to his lovely wife of 66 years, Joyce, who required his full-time caregiving skills due to illness in the later years of their retirement. He cherished their mutual love of dancing to big band music and socializing with family and friends both old and new. Bob had a long, successful career as a civil engineer specializing in hydroelectric energy for utilities and power providers. He is survived by his wife Joyce; children Melissa Eads, Steve Richert, Sarah Gallagher, Victoria Richert, and grandchildren Ryan Richert, Steven Richert, Evan Gallagher, and Kelly Gallagher. He will be deeply missed in ways that cannot be expressed by mere words alone. Our hearts are with you eternally. A private burial will take place at a later date in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, Ohio.
