Robert K Van Hook

Robert Van Hook age 83 of Fairfield passed away Saturday June 16, 2018. He was born October 4, 1934 in London, Kentucky the son of the late Wesley and Nora (nee Johnson) Van Hook. On July 2, 1955 in Texas he married Joyce E. (Flick) Van Hook and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2016. He is survived by four children Bobby (Diane) Van Hook, Lori Burns, Mark (Rhonda) Van Hook, and Kelli (Jeff Bill) Strick; ten grandchildren Liberty, Heidi, Richard, Jessica, Gunnar, Autumn, Garrett, Abigail, Victoria, and Crosby; five great grandchildren Kia, Aliyah, Indya, Dashanti, and Julian; two brothers Don (the late Georgia) Van Hook and Charles Van Hook, and two sisters Jewel (the late Angus) Sargeant and Joyce (Joe) Hibbard. Mr. Van Hook was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. While in the military service he pastored churches and directed the music in Bermuda, and upon leaving the service his ministry continued when he started churches in the local area. He retired from the ministry and continued in various fields of management until his final job at Pierre Foods, retiring after 25 years. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Friday June 22, 2018 from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Theobald, officiating.
