Ronald L. Bicknell age 65 of Hamilton went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday October 21, 2020. He was born on January 5, 1955 in Hamilton the son of the late Roy and Rita Pence (Bicknell). Ron was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. Ron was a faithful man of God and known for his humbleness. In 1984 Ron was ordained by the church and has spread the gospel ever since. He was a member of Paducah Baptist church for many years but filled in for other area churches to preach. Ron never let a day go by without studying the word of God. Ron strived to live his life Christ like always putting others first. Ron was a prayer warrior who would often pray throughout the night for others as he looked up at the stars. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. On July 24, 1974 he married Lucy Lainhart. He is survived by his loving wife of over 46 years Lucy Bicknell; two dear children Carrie (Jason) McNabb and Ronnie (fiancé Tina Wogenstahl) Bicknell; three wonderful grandchildren Gracie McNabb, Hailey McNabb, and Carter Bicknell; one beautiful great granddaughter Londyn Grace Jackson; siblings David Bicknell, Debbie (Roger) Christophel, Rick (Diane) Bicknell; Tony Pence; Brian Pence and one brother in law Rick Elam. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family, and close friends. Ron was preceded in death by his stepdad Edwin L. Pence; father in law Odell Lainhart; sisters Donna Elam and Amy Pence; niece Jeanette Elam; great niece Abigail Elam; and a special friend Carl Vonderhaar who was like a father to Ron. He was also preceded in death by his mother in law Gracie Lainhart. They shared a special relationship and Ron wrote a loving song about her called “Come See Me in my New Home.” Visitation will be on Tuesday October 27, 2020 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral at 12:00PM with Pastor Darrell Preston officiating.
