Roy Burke age 73 stepped into glory and into the arms of Jesus Friday August 31, 2018. He was born in Wevaco, WV January 6, 1945 to the late Millard and Carrie nee Bowman Burke. On March 15, 1969 in Bethany, OH he married Ceilia Hamilton. Roy was a proud Marine and worked for Champion Paper for over 42 years where he was known as “Bad Eye.” Roy was a proud member of Princeton Pike Church of God, a devoted Christian and he loved to tell anyone about Jesus. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors, watching his grandchildren play sports, spending time with his family, reading and discussing God’s word, and being in church with his church family. To be reunited with him someday are his wife of 49 years Ceilia; children Lisa Koenig, Jodi (Brian) Watson, Kari (Mike) Mathis; grandchildren Renee, Taylor, Amber, Kayla, Ethan, Katey, Karley, Brock, Kaelyn; a brother Millard Richard Burke and by many other family and friends. Loved ones waiting inside the gates of Heaven are sisters Alberta Keeney, Faustina “Teeney” Abbott, Lahoma Ayers, Loretta “Parker” Burke, Bernice Stumph, Pauline Laubenstein. Visitation Wednesday September 5, 2018 at Princeton Pike Church of God 6101 Princeton Glendale Rd Liberty Township 45011 from 5PM-8PM. Celebration of life will be 10AM Thursday September 6, 2018 at the church with Pastor Barry Clardy officiating. Burial to follow in Springhill Cemetery, Liberty Township, OH.
