Vander Fields

Vander Fields age 66 of Fairfield Township passed away Friday May 19, 2023. He was born May 25, 1956 in Jackson County, Kentucky the son of the late William and Edith Belt Fields. Vander was a graduate of Fairfield High School. He was a proud member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union for over 46 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Monkey’s Mutual Aid Society and the AMVETS. He was married to Barbara Gilley Fields and she preceded him in death on March 22, 2018. Vander is survived by two sons Vander Fields, Jr. and Steven (Kristi) Fields; two step granddaughters Alexis Carpenter and Kayla Carpenter; step great granddaughter Alila Primas; and siblings Marty (Ken) Miller, Sheila (Jeff) Niehaus, Patty (Rick) Kinsel, Donnie (Teresa) Fields, Bill (the late Gina) Fields, Rick (Robin) Fields, Tim (Donna) Fields, and the late Ella Burton, Minnie Crawford, Pauline Fields, and Alfred Fields, Jr. A Memorial Gathering for Vander will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday May 25, 2023 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt., Fairfield. www.websterfuneralhomes.com
