Vaughn Darroyl Derthick

Vaughn “Darroyl” Derthick age 67 passed away Thursday July 2, 2020. He was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Malcolm V. and Dorothy A. (nee O.Neil) Derthick. Darroyl had an amazing sense of humor. He was generous and had a genuine desire to help others. His love of Christ was always evident. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His work took him out on the open road with his camper ranging coast to coast for construction projects. He was known to answer to “Hobo Joe,” “Big D,” and “Darroyl-ly Boy." He never met a stranger in his travels. He is survived by children Arabeth (Shawn) Jackson, Annie (Kris) Derthick, Katie (Troy) Derthick, Leah (Ryan) Derthick; grandchildren Bryce Jackson, Ryan (Rachel) Jackson, Alyssa Melton, Mack Kilgore; two great grandchildren Raelyn and Raegan Jackson; siblings Darlyn Derthick, Darchelle Derthick, Devi (Jim) Longoni; niece Bailey Longoni; nephews Preston and Ryland Longoni; mothers of his children Dr. Patricia Bender, Kay Kattner Derthick and was also survived by many other family and friends.
