Verna Jackson

Verna D. Jackson age 64 of Hamilton passed away Sunday September 8, 2024. She was born December 11, 1959 in Dalton, Georgia the daughter of Irene Van Meter Richardson and the late Vernon Richardson. Verna was a long time member of the Hamilton Church of God of the Union Assembly and was very active in many activities at the church. She worked at Ohio Casualty Insurance Company and also worked as a pharmacy technician for Cigna Health Care. Verna loved the Cincinnati Reds, the Bengals, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She is survived by her mother Irene Richardson; one son Matthew Rogers; step daughter Vicky Jackson; granddaughter Kendall (Michael) Davis; one brother Vernon (Amberly) Richardson, Jr.; and one sister Lejandie (Kenneth) Estes. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Anthony Richardson and Cheryl Bell and her step daughter Christy Bailey. Visitation 6-8 PM Wednesday September 11, 2024 at the Hamilton Church of God of the Union Assembly, 1814 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday September 12, 2024 at the church with Pastor Trey Starnes, officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
