My Dad, Hilbert Lentz, and Bob were the best of friends from childhood. My Dad's happiest memories that he would share with us, were the adventures he shared with Bob. My favorite was of them taking their Rat Terriers out to the fields to hunt for rats. And letting them loose on the downtown sidewalks in the fall, which would be decorated with sheaves of grain. Their dogs would attack the sheaves, and the rats would spill out on the walk and the ladies would run in terror. My favorite memory is visiting Bob when my brother and I were very small, and Bob would set us on top of his mail cart and givie us a ride. My father passed away December 23, 2017. In his last few years his health and mobility deteriorated sharply and he was often very low in spirits. You could always tell immediately when he and Bob had spoken, my Dad's mood would be buoyant as he recounted for us Bob's latest jokes and general news. The Lentz family, and Elsie, extend our deepest sympathy to the Leck family. Bob leaves a beautiful legacy filled with memories of the joy he brought to our lives. Wendi Lentz

I knew Bob mostly from coming into the bank and he was a friend of my neighbor Don and June. He was so nice, funny and always talked about his children and his dogs. I was amazed at how he could remember my old address after 27 years. I will miss our call on your birthday each year. Rest in peace and my God Bless You. Dottie Collins

I had the pleasure of working with Bob when I first started at the Fairfield Post Office. He was a very sweet and funny man. May God Bless his family.

I am so happy to have had Bob in my life. He was so sweet and caring and always telling me great stories about his loving wife and two kids. I know he is now with Marge and they will spend eternity together. I will miss him so much.
