It took us some time to realise the devastating news. Walt was our true friend in Cincinnati and shared his passion for sports, music and craft beer with us. We miss you sorely - Walt. Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time along with our heartfelt sympathy.

So very sorry for the loss of this kind man. He was a pleasure to work with, always had a smile on his face. He would surprise me with thoughtful treats regularly. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, especially his children who I know he adored. He was a blessing to all who knew him and will be greatly missed. God got another good one! Rest in peace dear friend. Jennifer MacLean

I meet Walt in the fall of 2007 when I started playing for the Sox. I thought my desire to win was big, but Walt's was bigger. I learned that fall that the rest of the team was the same except Walt lived it but only on the field. After the game we sat around and had an adult beverage with some of the other players. It wasn't long that every member of the team stayed around. I never realized it until he came up with a t-shirt with an old Blues Brother saying " You boys earned $200.00 and Drank $300.00 worth of Beer", how much it meant to him that the team was not just players but we all became friends.
