William Victor Younger, Jr. was born to the late William Victor Younger, Sr. and Anna nee Callahan Younger in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 8, 1935. He was the fourth of five children. He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Cincinnati Baptist Bible College in 1974. He obtained his Master of Theology degree in 1989 and his Doctorate of Divinity in 1996.

Bill was blessed with a devoted wife and six loving daughters. He had 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Bill served in the United States Navy as a Seaman from December 11, 1952 to April 30, 1956. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and served on the USS Holden 819. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal. For most of Bill's life, he was a bi-vocational truck driver and a Baptist pastor. He retired from Budig Western Trucking Company in 1985 and from pastoring in 2014. After being saved at the age of 29, Bill's life focused on sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he met. Bill loved the Word of God, his family, and his country. He had a great sense of humor and was constantly joking or making up songs or riddles. He never met a stranger nor missed the opportunity to love an animal.

Bill is survived by his wife, Phyllis, his daughters, Deborah (Steven) Wells, Dianne (Joseph) French, Deana Kinder, Vicki (Steven) Minnich, Rebecca (Shane) Watson, his grandchildren, Rachel (Jacob) Baltensperger, Ryan (Jordann) Kinder, Justin (Danielle) French, Zachary Wells, Micah (Allie) Kendall, Morgan (Anthony) Petrucci, Austin (Anastasia) Kinder, Nathan (Brooke) Kendall, Nicholas (Emily) Minnich, Jordan Kinder, Carly (Matthew) Driskell, Anna (Sean) Head, Aaron (Alexis) Kinder, Ty Watson, Abigail Minnich, William Watson, Darren Minnich, and 24 great grandchildren, so far! He is preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Brooks, his grandson, Evan Brooks, his sister, Helen Lasita, his brother, Robert Younger, and his parents. Visitation 5-8 PM Wednesday June 22 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday June 23, 2022 at the funeral home. Private burial will full military honors on Friday at the Dayton, Ohio National Cemetery.
